Foods high in protein are best, because they will keep you fuller for longer, and you’ll go through your food storage slower
- • Get proper containers. If you’re spending all the time and money to prepare your food storage, you’ll want to make sure you’ve got good containers to keep them in. If you don’t seal them properly, they won’t keep for nearly as long and you may get worms in your food, which will make it worthless
- • Check all of your local stores for the best prices, but also check online for food storage companies. If your area isn’t big on food storage, you may have to buy the majority of it from an online store

- • Blankets: Blankets are essential to keep you warm in cold weather. Even if you’ve got a car that works properly, you might have to pull over and stay somewhere in your car until help reaches you. Sometimes help isn’t close at hand, so you‘ll need blankets to keep you warm, especially if you live in a cold region. You may also need blankets to use as sleeping materials. If you don’t have camping materials, it is especially essential to have blankets. You may even need blankets for something to keep you warm during a power outage
- • Radio: Make sure you’ve got a battery operated AM/FM radio. Also, you should try and keep a weather radio. In order to keep yourself prepared, it’s vital to know what’s going on; not only with worldly conditions, but also with any developing weather patterns or conditions
